Moved.

Toodles!

Afraid of beetles, I am.

Anyway, look what I found.

I think John Mayer’s guitar playing is sexy. And to state the obvious, the Volkswagen Beetle Convertible is so adorably pretty. Sheesh!

But well, there’s nothing like the old Beetle. This one’s a 1960 Beetle convertible:

My personal favourite however is still definitely the microbus:

Go vintage!

 Exams = Study

That’s always the case isn’t it? Whenever one thinks of examinations, the first thing that comes to his/her mind is definitely ’study’. Either that or some other less commonly used verb such as revise, go over, cram, read up and whatever have you. Some individuals, they love studying. They adore that particular “chore”. Some individuals despise it. They loathe it. (Right now, I’m just writing whatever comes to my mind. Go with the flow they call it.) Somehow, I feel there’s more to studying than just books, notes, papers and pencils. In fact, I’m pretty sure there IS indeed more to it than just all that. For example, say, the conversations you have while studying (with your friends or by yourself). And what about all the food and tidbits you gobble down non-stop. Not to forget, all the other cute girls/guys studying around you, probably sharing the same thought as you. There is more to studying than just books.

Anyway, I was in the queue at the bus interchange waiting for 963 today and there was this couple whom I believe to be mother and son. Well, the son looked old and dirty. Imagine what the mother looked like? Even older, but less dirty. That’s the thing about the female species, they always look clean no matter what. So, the son (I’ll just call him ‘man’), the man, really is a typical ahbeng with his tone of voice and a pack of cigarettes stuffed under his shirt on his shoulder. Goodness gracious me. And I thought we’ve gone past that. A full grown middle-aged man, I feel, should provide a better example to the young generation of chinese boys instead of acting like a freaking ahbeng himself. No offence. Well, I particularly hated the way he spoke to his mother (I think). Even if they’re not related, he really should have shown some respect to the old lady. Eugh!

Anyhow, back to revision I guess.

Cat

16Jan08

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I’m crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you’re going I’m going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There’s such a lot of world to see.
We’re after the same rainbow’s end–
waiting ’round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.

Goodness gracious me. I want to own a cat. Seriously. Been wanting a cat since i was 6? Oh well, not everyone in the house agrees to having a cat. Why not? No idea. Not as compassionate I suppose. rofl. Anyway, I swear I’ll have a cat once I get my own place to stay. I’ll have a cute little kitten and simply name it “cat”. Just like how Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) named hers. Did I mention how adorable she is? =)

Cat. Lovely, Darling cat. I’ll own and take good care of one fine day. rofl.

The Dress

12Jan08

Goodness Gracious Me.

So, it’s been some time since I last updated has’nt it? Ohwell, school’s hectic. Everything’s gnarly. It’s 2.07am and we’re doing FYP. That explains why I’m writing. Usually boredom leads to writing. Writing leads to thinking. Thinking leads to a better brain. A better brain, well, a better brain doesn’t seem to help me in any way.

27 Dresses. January 24th is it?

Seriously, I have to watch this movie. If not for anything else, I’ll watch it for the dresses. Hopefully, they won’t be disappointing. Anyway, I wonder how Katherine Heigl would be like in this movie. I’ve seen her in Grey’s anatomy (Seriously?). Doctor, smart, can be bitchy but still sweet in a way? Then, there’s Katherine Heigl as (I can’t remember her character) in Knocked Up. Goodness. Entirely different type of character? Sex-ed up, but still sweet I suppose.

I need to get back to work.

Rain

09Dec07

Definition of rain from wikipedia:

Rain is a type of precipitation, a product of the condensation of atmospheric water vapour that is deposited on the earth’s surface. It forms when separate drops of water fall to the Earth’s surface from clouds. Not all rain reaches the surface; some evaporates while falling through dry air. When none of it reaches the ground, it is called virga, a phenomenon often seen in hot, dry desert regions.

The other definition of rain, also from wikipedia:

Rain (Real name: Jung Ji-hoon 정지훈, born on 25 June 1982 in Seoul) is a male Korean pop singer, dancer, model, and actor.

I prefer the first definition. No offence to Rain, the korean guy, though. It’s been raining cats and dogs, snakes and ladders, apples and pears, coffee and cigarettes. Well, it’s just been raining very heavily and continuously. As if heaven had decided to open its dam for us on Earth. But all’s good. We love the rain, don’t we? It’s cold. It’s freezing, yes. But all’s good. ‘Cause we love it. We love the rain.

I remember those days when I was young, prolly 5 or 6, and I’ll go outdoors whenever it rains just to be able to play in the rain. To feel each and every drop of crystal clear rain hit every part of me. To feel my my clothes soaking wet and sticking to my body. To feel free and feel all problems (if I did have any at that time) fade away for the time being. To fall sick the next day and feel my mother’s unconditional love.
Whatever happened to that? I have no idea.

Anyway, isn’t it funny how one can never tell the sex of a person by his/her chinese name. Rofl.

Bubbly

25Nov07

I know I’ve been posting numerous youtube stuff lately. Well, here’s yet another video. =)
These girls are absolutely freaking cute. I might sound like a paedophile right now. Mind you, I’m not. Darn, I like the younger of the two best. Especially when she puts on those oversized headphones and plays with the drumsticks. She looks like one of them teletubbies with those headphones. And notice how she takes out that knife from the drawers at the end of the video. For awhile there, she got me sitting at the edge of my seat. A little girl with a knife in her hand. Rad.

I just wished the resolution could have been better.

Shy That Way

24Nov07

Tristan Prettyman is freaking talented. No doubt, so is Jason Mraz. Got to listen to this song thanks to Cheryl (yes, you do have good taste in music). Anyway, Prettyman’s got a lovely voice and her black Taylor sounds terrific. Rather adorable too (referring to her Taylor).Maybe I shall call it “Tayley”. Every Taylor needs a name. Heck, every guitar needs a name. I shall call mine “Fin”. Not that I dont appreciate ”Fin” (I do), but I really want to save up for a new acoustic. Darn NHG still haven’t called for an interview. Prolly won’t get a job with them. Prolly won’t even get a freaking job.

Keira Knightley. Julie Andrews. Hugh Grant. Christopher Plummer. Martine McCutcheon. Charmian Carr. Thomas Sangster. Kym Karath.

Just a few of the cast members of Love actually and The Sound of Music. Well, I spent the whole of yesterday night watching these two lovely movies on DVD. Of course, The sound of Music is pretty much a musical.  So, here are a couple of my favourite scenes (These are a few of my favourite things).

From Love Actually:

Keira is simply gorgeous isn’t she?

From The Sound of Music:

Actually preferred “The Lonely Goatherd” but can’t seem to find it on YouTube. Oh well, this is nice too.

“So long, Farewell”

“Koo-Koo! Koo-Koo!”

Just Look at Gretl von Trapp.  How cute.

Anyways, Julie Andrews is breathtaking too.

Ballet

14Nov07

I have always been fascinated by children doing ballet. Well, maybe not only children.  To simply put it, ballet never fails to take my breath away.  What was I doing when I was five? Playing around with toyguns? Look at those children doing ballet. How mature. How graceful. Not to mention, cute. Somehow reminds me of Dakota Fanning. How I adore her.

Yes, Dakota Fanning.

Anyway, I was waiting for what felt like an eternity in the line at the supermarket just to pay for a couple of cartons of milk when out of the blue, this old man just appeared in front of me with a couple of cans of beer. Huh. (I really thought he would be better off drinking those milk instead. For his bones and what not.) Ouh and did I mention he smelt of alcohol? Beer. He smelt of beer. Something that has always disgusted me. Old men smelling of liquor. Sheesh!

Anyway, I was halfway through watching the classic musical “Annie” when my dad reached home just earlier. You know how adults would simply just throw themselves onto their favourite sofa and sink in with the remote control on their hands, usually watching the news and what not. Well, that is exactly what my dad does every night except he doesnt have a favourite sofa. Heck, he doesnt even have a freaking sofa.  Now that is something I hate about our home. No sofas? Sheesh. Trust me, wooden chairs just don’t quite cut it. Anyway, I love Annie.  Just the way I adore Grease and The Sound of Music.

Tomorrow, tomorrow
I Love ya, tomorrow
You’re only a day away

It’s the hard knock life for us
It’s the hard knock life for us
Instead of treated we get tricked
Instead of kisses we get kicked
